Development
North
Fiji Group Limited is undertaking a unique integrated resort development
project, Narewa Club and
Resort
located on Vanua Levu, the second largest island in Fiji.
The club will consist of 28 private villas on freehold half acre
lots situated on the hill above the resort that the company currently holds
individual title to.
Club
Members who purchase a villa and half acre lot will have access to the resort
amenities including uniquely being able to surf world class waves in several
resort managed locations offshore. In the Club Member’s absence these villas
will be used as hotel accommodations with upkeep being taken care of by the
resort and owners receiving a portion of the rental returns from their villa.
The Resort aspect will be located on the water and will feature access to the Great Sea Reef from Narewa’s private marina already underway. A channel and small boat basin has been completed and the company-owned Islander 28 boat is docked there for day trips out to the reef. Currently, construction has also been completed on a traditional Fijian-style coconut lodge with a central bar/dining area and four dormitory style sleeping rooms. This is a temporary structure to facilitate land sales by allowing interested parties to stay over and experience the surfing/fishing aspect of the opportunity. It will also serve as the sales office for the development. The preliminary resort approvals are for 20 double occupancy individual Fijian bures with 10 being partially set over the marina lagoon. The approvals also include ancillary resort facilities including a restaurant/bar building and watersports centre with docking facilities.

Currently, the Narewa Club and Resort’s status is as follows:
· Holds title to approximately 150 acres of freehold land on the north shore of Vanua Levu, Fiji that has been successful subdivided into 41 individual titles (2 already sold).
· Has in place the permits and rezoning needed to start development, including approval of a comprehensive Environmental Impact Assessment. The permit work for the resort alone represents over three years of interfacing with the Fijian government.
· The land has unique access to the Great Sea Reef, the third largest reef in the world, a gateway to one of the ocean’s last great unexplored playgrounds.
· Granted a management lease to surf the waves and protect the resources of two designated sections of the Great Sea Reef that have already proven to have world class surf
· Engaged with the necessary contractors, consultants, engineers, surveyors and architects to take part in the development process. This includes having established a close relationship with the local chiefs who are supporting the venture.
